This home was designed for a couple who wanted to harmonise spaces for solitude and entertaining, whilst maintaining a calming natural feel.

The home’s exterior façade combines hand-laid stone walls, smooth white plaster finishes, and expansive floor-to-ceiling glass panels, framed in matte black aluminum. A pitched metal roof with deep overhangs and exposed timber rafters anchors the design, lending a nod to traditional rural architecture while embracing modern energy efficiency with the solar panels subtly blending into the roofline.

At the heart of the home lies an expansive kitchen, dining and living area, beneath a soaring vaulted ceiling with exposed timber beams that bring warmth and rhythm to the interior. The living area is designed around a sleek modern fireplace, paired with a comfortable sitting zone with a recessed window seat, while the dining area centres the space with ample room for a large farmhouse-style table. Floor to ceiling glass doors extend out into the courtyard pool and outdoor dining area – equipped with a built-in grill, countertop bar, and pass-through window to the indoor kitchen.
