After securing their section in Paradise Shores, Ruakaka, Dave & Lois Neville set about finding their ideal builder. Two things led them to Homeworld Design & Build. Firstly, they came highly recommended by friends (who were also building with Homeworld at the time) and secondly the convenience of regular weekend access.
Living and working in Auckland, weekends were the only time they could spare to fine tune their plans and product choices. “Homeworld’s Display Village is really helpful! We could choose all our products in one place and in a ’house setting’ from our Tapware right through to carpets.”
They only had two specific briefs for Homeworld’s designer. “We wanted a funky’ beach home with the main living area upstairs to maximise the views of Mount Manaia and the beach.” And that’s exactly what they got. “Homeworld really listened to what we wanted. As soon as we saw the first sketch we were sold. It’s just fantastic!”
Lois’s favourite part of her new home is the open plan living area. “I can catch all the conversation when friends are over or watch television, all while working in the kitchen.”
“We felt very comfortable leaving everything to our supervisor to arrange while we were in Auckland. He communicated with us very well. We had no trouble at all. And our builder ‘Mel Hermon’ kept the place so clean…like a hospital!! I’ve never seen a building site like it! Absolutely spotless. We felt like he was really looking after our home…”
