Once you step into this lovely new home, you won’t know where to look first. It is very feature rich – from the sarked timber ceiling in the Lounge, solid kwila staircase, curved feature walls, granite bench tops, picturesque windows, thick rich carpets, the list goes in…

A plaque placed on an exterior wall by the owners simply states ‘Built by Neville Bassett 2005’. Such a simple statement, but with a story to go with it…

When these home owners were looking for a builder, they simply stumbled into Homeworld Design & Build hoping to get ideas. “We had our own architectural plans drawn by Steve Povey, and we didn’t think Homeworld would be able to build off them. We were pleasantly surprised when Home Consultant ‘Cherie Gourlay’ said not a problem”.

Cherie looked over our plans and realising how angular/multi level the house was, offered to build a 3D cardboard scale model. “The plans were very hard to visualise, so the model helped us immensely.”

From then on it was all go! Once they could see how everything worked, it was down to selecting products and materials for the new home. “Homeworld Display Village was great. It is really helpful to see so many products on display. If they didn’t have the product Cherie recommended placed they could be viewed.”

Then came the construction. “We were very lucky! Homeworld allocated Neville Bassett as our builder. He did a fabulous job. I don’t think you could find a better builder anywhere in the world than Neville. He’s definitely world class! The best thing we like about our new home is that we know lots of care was taken with it. It’s a very solid home designed by a good designer and build by a great builder. What else can you ask for?”
