In 1984 Barry and Jenny Trass launched Homeworld with the goal of providing guaranteed quality and affordable homes to clients in the Northland region. Now, over 30 years later, Homeworld has over 16 experienced staff members, and a reputation for delivering homes to that are superior in design, quality, and affordability.

Homeworld is the Natural Choice
For Barry and Jenny, the inspiration behind the Homeworld brand came from the naturally beautiful surroundings of the landscape; the native trees, expansive water, and sandy beaches Northland is so well known for. Through this affinity with nature they have established a reputation for New Zealand homes that are designed and built to work in harmony with the natural surroundings, and for using eco-friendly home products to protect our precious environment for generations to come.
Awards
For the team at Homeworld, the biggest award they can receive is seeing clients pleased with the new homes they design and build. However they’re also lucky to have been recognised with a Silver Award in the Master Builders House of the Year awards in 2008 for the showhome “The Reef” .
Homeworld was also awarded the 2006 Northland Naturally Business Excellence Awards in the category of Rosvall ITM Excellence in Building/Construction award.
